Terminology

What is Advanced Revelation?

Advanced Revelation® is a registered trademark of Revelation Technologies, Inc

Advanced Revelation (ARev) is a relational database management system (RDBMS) in a DOS environment. It evolved from Pick, and makes use of variable record length, multivalue data storage structures.

Accessibility

Access Keys and Site Navigation

Access Keys are shortcut keys that will take you to commonly used pages or main functions of the website without needing to use your mouse.

On this website, Access Keys are displayed inside square brackets next to menu choices, eg. [H], as well as main topics on individual pages.

Browsers support this capability in different ways, so you may need to check your browser's Help file.

Just to help (for PC Windows):
  In Opera 7+ browser press SHIFT+ESC, release those keys, and then press your chosen key.
  In Firefox 2 browser press ALT+SHIFT+ chosen key.
  In IE browser press ALT+chosen key, release those keys, and then ENTER.

  • Javascript is not used to create web pages or create hyperlinks.
  • All links have TITLE attributes that describe the link or target in greater detail, and show as "tips" when the mouse cursor hovers over them.
  • All images are accompanied by descriptive ALT and TITLE attributes, which show as "tips" when the mouse cursor hovers over them.
  • All tables have a SUMMARY attribute for use by screen readers for the vision-impaired. The Summary describes the function of a table and the relationship between its rows and columns.

Printing

A style sheet (CSS) has been set up for printing from this website. This means that any user of this site can activate the print function of their browser and receive a "printer friendly" version of the currently active page. The "printer friendly" version of the page will not contain any site navigation nor the search facility. We will still show our logo, and the copyright line from our site footer.
